2018 Columbus Home Sale Stats
Prices continued to rise in 2018. Just to name a few places that saw dramatic increases were Blacklick where the average home price increased from $210k in 2017, to $226k in 2018. Grove City became another area where the average price for a home jumped above the $200k mark, as the average for the area in 2018 was $212k versus being $198k in 2017. Lastly, Grandview has stolen some of the thunder from Clintonville and Bexley. The Grandview area jumped from $339k on average in 2017 to an astonishing $416k in 2018. That’s an increase of $77k on average in one year!
Olde Towne East continues to be one of the hottest neighborhoods in Columbus. A total of 52 homes sold in 2018, up from 30 in 2017. That might not seem like a large number, but when you add in that the average price also increased from $231k in 2017, to $288k in 2018 (a 20% increase) while carrying the same average of days on the market it shows the area is in high demand.
