February Home Sale Statistics
We are definitely starting to see the real estate market picking back up as we get ready to head into Spring. In looking at the numbers for the sales in the month of January there are a couple key items to point out.
The average sales price in both Grove City and Hilliard have remained strong and above the $200k mark. It’s interesting to note because there are not too many suburbs outside of the the 270 outerbelt in which you can purchase a home for under $200k. Reynoldsburg ($168k), Groveport ($181k), and Canal Winchester ($178k) were the only areas that had an average price in January under $200k outside of the Columbus metro area.
The other stat to take a look at and note is that the average days on market has increased across the board. As we head into the Spring market, this should level out and decrease. Right now, the homes closing in January would have been on the market over the holiday season which plays a role in the days on market, or how long it takes to get a home sold.
If you’re curious about your specific neighborhood, or you’re thinking of selling your home in the next year or two, we would love to help.
